How a diagnostic visit works

Arrive & hydrate

Drink water beforehand if asked — clearer fluid means a clearer view for your exam type.

Your scan

Your exam will be performed by experienced registered ultrasound technologists. Each exam includes a written report you can bring to your OB or midwife.

Dictated by a board certified radiologist

A written report is prepared for your records and for your OB or midwife. It will take 24-48 hours to be delivered.

Questions before you book

Do I need a referral from my doctor?

Yes a referral is needed for diagnostic exams and for insurance approval.

No. You will still need to see your OB for a full medical evaluation. 

Yes the report will be set to the offering provider.
